This week I had so much to do! I did some research over Thanksgiving break about the stress factors that affect NNPs the most and began to gear the majority of my work towards this. Having a huge amount of responsibility but no control over what happens is a huge aspect of why NNPs are often overwhelmed. NNPs are also under a lot of pressure, especially since babies are unable to speak and they have to be quick and efficient. As I had learned prior to this week, working in this job can lead to anxiety or stress, which can ultimately affect one’s quality of work. I added all of this information to my original work and continued to plan out what I am doing for my original work. I spent several hours working on my original work this week. I feel like I got a lot done and was able to move on from brainstorming and planning to actually getting work done! I completely lost track of time when I was working on my pamphlet and reading blogs. I came across some very interesting stories from the parents point of view and the NNPs point of view. I look forward to finishing my original work this week and continuing my research.
