This past week was a little bit hectic due to our school being asynchronous. On top of that, I had a lot going on with family being here and sports. I was unable to meet with my mentor because of how chaotic everything got, however I got to catch up on all of the schoolwork that was pushed off. With that being said, I was able to write 2 research assessments (one about the insertion of a picc line and iv line and another about a baby who was born at 23 weeks and survived), put all of my handwritten notes from prior mentor meetings onto a google doc for easy access, created a spreadsheet and filled out my product log, and prepare for my mentor meeting this upcoming week! I have previewed the information that my mentor, Mrs. Paulina Morman, has sent over. This week, we will be going over Jaundice and Retinopathy of Prematurity. I have a good idea of what jaundice is, but I am looking forward to learning more about it. I barely have any background knowledge about Retinopathy of Prematurity, so I know I will need to do a little more research on this topic. Overall, I still have a lot to learn and complete this week, so I will be very busy!
