Spring Break was such a productive week for me, as I was able to complete a lot of “catch up” work! I began by continuing to plan my final product and continuing to draft it. I was able to complete 5 pages of the eBook, which took me a while. While doing this, I had to sift through all of the research, videos, powerpoints, etc. to find the best information to use. First, I decided to choose the information that I was going to use, then I chose a layout and continued to draft. I made a couple drafts for each page, as I wanted to ensure it would be easiest to follow for the reader. Most of my “topics” require more than one page, as there is a lot of information that I needed to use. The bulk of my time was spent by finding the information that I would use, as I wanted to make everything easy to understand; I needed to make sure everything would be understood by someone who does not have a background in neonatology or the NICU. Along with my final product, I learned about discharge planning. I was supposed to meet with my mentor, Mrs. Paulina Morman, but we were unable to meet because some things came up. However, I was still able to look at the information she sent over and we’ll be able to meet the following week.
