The main focus of my original work is to research different stress factors that cause the most stress for the parents and the NNPs. This week, I read a great article that gave me information over the variety of stress factors that affected the parents. I had no idea that there were so many different parts such as income, being single or married, etc. Reading this gave me a different perspective because now I am able to see the bigger picture. I didn’t know that there were such specific factors that made the parents get so stressed out. Furthermore, I learned more about why the mothers get more stressed than the fathers. I didn’t realize that the fathers don’t get as easily affected by stress as the mothers, which was eye opening for me. Knowing this will gear my research a little more towards the mothers, but still include the fathers, so that I can make the most convenient product for my original work. I was also able to read different blogs which impacted the way I looked at this because now I feel like I can understand it more. I don’t know what the parents are going through, but reading blogs allow me to empathize with them.
